Yeah...the honey! Very nice too!
I'll have a look and see if there's a laundry service there.

Nic.

Hi, Probably the liveliest resort will be Hanioti, although all resorts in September do start to wind down a little. Some nightclubs will still be open around Kalithea, such as Bubbles and they are all just a short taxi ride away.

Hope this helps.

Am heading to Hanioti at the end of September myself and cannot wait to get there!

Hi,

There's plenty of clubs and bars in Kallithea, only 10 minutes or so down the road.
For diving, try www.tritonscuba.gr (new updated site coming soon)
Most of the diving id done down towards the end of the peninsula and is amazing...I'm going soon!

Hello,

I was wondering, could you recommend some nice beaches near Gerakini. This is where we decided to stay during our vacation in Greece.

Thank you for the tips in advance. :)

Hi,
Beaches near Gerakini...all depends if you've got transport, a car or motorbike. You've got Kalives just down the road, about 3kms...there's Psakoudia the other way, about 5kms or the beaches at Gerakini itself. Further down towards Sithonia there's the beaches around Metamorfosi and the nice beach a bit further in Nikiti. I think your best one that's nearest to Gerakini will be Kalives, the beach actually goes all the way round to Nea Potidea on the Kassandra Peninsula. At Kalives you'll also find the popular beach bar Kuda Hura.
If you need anymore info, let me know and I'll do my best to help.

Nic.

Thank you very much Nic, helpful as always.

We will travel by car, so the distance will be not a huge problem, anyway, as far as I understood, there is a beach in front of the hotel.

I have a question, should we wear special shoes when going into the water for a swim. You have written, that you ar always with your flip-flops...

Thank you once again for beeing so responsive. :)

Hi,

You're welcome, that's what I'm here for!
You'll have no problems with any little sea monsters at the beaches around Gerakini along to Kalives, it's all sand, no rocks. It's a good idea to to get some beach shoes just incase you visit somewhere where there might be some. But the water is so clear you can see everything anyway, and they don't jump out and bite you. Just watch where you put your feet if you go to any beach where there's rocks, those little black things (sea urchins) can be painful if you should step on one.
But we all should be careful and respect the fragile sea life 8)
Hope this helps!

Nic.

If it depends on me, I will explore different beaches, but as far as I know my boyfreind, we will stay the whole day on the beach at the hotel  Anyway, we will get a pair of those shoes, just in case. I have seen pictures of the little monsters, they have really long needles, that scared me a bit :?

You must explore a little, there's some fantastic places and staying in Gerakini you're in the perfect place to explore both Sithonia, Kassandra and, if you drive 10 minutes straight up the road towards Polygyros (where I live), you've got the moutains aswell!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your holidays here, I'm sure you will! :D
